Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on the production assembly of parts used in the manufacturing of power generation devices and sensors for the aerospace industry. Typical products include generators, alternators, sensors, and electric motors. You will follow detailed work instructions and drawings to perform both mechanical and electronic assembly tasks, including building circuit boards and assembling and soldering electronic components and wiring. The position requires regular use of hand tools, air tools, soldering irons, and production machinery, as well as computers to access work instructions and assembly drawings. This is a day-shift role working four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform production assembly of parts used in power generation devices and sensors for the aerospace industry, including generators, alternators, sensors, and electric motors.
• Follow written work instructions, drawings, and schematics to complete mechanical and electronic assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Build circuit boards according to specifications and quality standards.
• Assemble and solder electronic components and wires using appropriate techniques and tools.
• Carry out mechanical assembly using hand tools, air tools, and production machinery.
• Use soldering irons to perform basic soldering on electronic components and wiring connections.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure correct component placement and assembly sequence.
• Use computers to access digital work instructions, assembly drawings, and other production documentation.
• Maintain an organized and clean workbench or workstation while following established production processes.
• Adhere to safety procedures and quality standards throughout all assembly operations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in technical assembly in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Proficiency in basic soldering for electronic components and wiring.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow written work instructions, drawings, and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, schematics, and blueprints for both mechanical and electronic assemblies.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly tasks.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and assembly steps with strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electronic assembly, including circuit board assembly and wiring.
• Familiarity with using hand tools, air tools, and soldering irons in a production environment.
• Comfort using computers to access work instructions and assembly drawings.
• Experience in assembling electromechanical products or components is beneficial.
• Ability to work a four-day, 10-hour day schedule on the day shift.

Work Environment

The position follows a day shift schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The environment supports ergonomic flexibility, allowing employees to sit or stand while performing their work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukie, OR.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
