Role Summary

The Validation & Compliance Analyst will provide independent operational validation and reporting support for the vulnerability management service. The role will coordinate rescans, maintain data quality, manage exceptions, support KPI and audit reporting, provide weekend validation when required, and execute manual activities needed by central security teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute vulnerability rescans following remediation events, confirm target coverage, review scan completion, and verify whether findings are closed, reduced, or still present.
• Perform data-quality reviews across vulnerability, asset, ownership, ticket, SLA, exception, and closure-evidence records; identify discrepancies and coordinate correction with responsible teams.
• Administer remediation exceptions and risk acceptances by validating required fields, business justification, compensating controls, approvals, expiry dates, review cadence, and supporting evidence.
• Prepare recurring KPI and compliance reporting covering open exposure, critical and high findings, aging, SLA attainment, remediation throughput, reopen rates, validation status, and exception trends.
• Support audit and control-assurance activities by collecting evidence, maintaining traceability, reconciling reported metrics, responding to information requests, and tracking action closure.
• Provide planned weekend or after-hours validation support for major patching events, emergency remediation, maintenance windows, and enterprise-wide vulnerability reduction activities.
• Perform approved manual operations for central teams where automation is unavailable, including record updates, queue monitoring, evidence checks, report reconciliation, and stakeholder follow-up.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in vulnerability validation, security operations, compliance reporting, data reconciliation, or technology risk support.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies across large operational datasets.
• Working knowledge of vulnerability scanners, spreadsheets or BI reporting, ITSM, exception workflows, and audit evidence.
• Ability to support scheduled weekend or after-hours validation when required by remediation events.
• Clear documentation, follow-up, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills.

Success Measures

Successful performance will be evaluated through timely risk reduction, SLA adherence, accuracy of records and reporting, quality of stakeholder coordination, audit readiness, and measurable improvement in remediation efficiency and control effectiveness.

• Collaborate across global teams and time zones, with planned after-hours or weekend support where scheduled remediation activity requires it.
• Protect production stability by following approved implementation, rollback, validation, and escalation procedures.
• Identify recurring issues and propose preventive, automation, and process-improvement actions that reduce enterprise risk and manual effort.
