Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a ServiceNow UI/UX Designer to lead the design and enhancement of user-centered digital experience of ServiceNow platform, ensuring intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design end-to-end user experiences for ServiceNow modules, portals, and Workspaces (wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs)
Partner with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into interface designs
Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to validate design decisions
Build and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components per Now Design System/DC branding
Design and configure Service Portal widgets, UI Builder pages, and Now Experience components
Ensure designs meet Section 508/WCAG 1 AA accessibility standards
Collaborate with developers/administrators during build and QA to preserve design fidelity
Create/maintain UX documentation - personas, journey maps, information architecture, specs
Present design concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership
Stay current on ServiceNow releases and support change management/training documentation

Required Skills & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience (5 years)
5+ years: professional UI/UX design experience for enterprise software platforms
4+ years: hands-on ServiceNow platform design (Service Portal, UI Builder/Now Experience, Workspaces, Virtual Agent)
Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools
Solid understanding of user-centered design methodology (research, journey mapping, wireframing, usability testing)
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
Demonstrated accessibility design experience (Section 508/WCAG 1 AA)
Strong enterprise UX/UI portfolio
Excellent communication skills for presenting/defending design decisions

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

ServiceNow certifications (CSA or CAD)
Government/public-sector IT experience
Familiarity with ServiceNow Now Design System component library
Agile/Scrum experience with Jira or ServiceNow Agile Development
Experience with public-sector procurement/security compliance (FISMA, NIST)
